AI Recommended Search is a feature that suggests recommended facilities based on your spoken input about a location and the type of place you’re looking for.

For example, if you search for “a relaxing place near Tokyo Station,” the AI will gather information on suitable locations, such as cafes, and display them in the search results. Additionally, details about the facilities, ratings, and price ranges will also be shown.

This feature is useful when you are unsure about what stores are available nearby or when you want to research facilities at a travel destination in advance.

How to Use AI Recommended Search

  1. Tap the AI icon at the bottom of the map screen. (This button is read as “AI function”.)
  2. Select “AI Recommended Search.”
  3. When the sound indicating the start of voice input plays, speak about the place you want to search for.
  4. The search results will be displayed, allowing you to start navigation, add a location to favorites, or make a phone call.
  5. If you want to see more results, tap “Show one more”.

Notes: The default input method for this feature is voice input. If you want to switch to text input, open “Settings” from the app menu, go to “AI Recommended Search Settings”, and select “Text” under “Input Method Settings.”

2. AI Image Recognition

The “AI Image Recognition” feature allows the AI to describe what is shown in a photo taken using ASHIRASE. For example, it can be helpful in situations such as:

  • “I’ve arrived at a restaurant, but I don’t understand the menu.”
  • “I don’t know what’s on the table.”
  • “I can’t read the sign.”

You can use this feature during your journey or after arrival when you encounter difficulties.

How to use the AI Image Recognition feature

  1. Tap the AI icon at the bottom of the map screen. (This button is read aloud as “AI feature.”)
  2. Select “AI Image Recognition.”
  3. When the camera opens, take a photo.
  4. Tap the “Use Photo” button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
  5. The AI will analyze the image and provide a description.
  6. If you want to ask a question, tap the “Ask more questions” button and speak your question.
  7. To ask another question, tap the microphone button at the bottom of the screen and speak again.
  8. To end the feature, tap the back button in the top left corner.

  • Input for questions is voice-only.
